It is not necessary to have any previous experience to enjoy trekking. (Minimum age 6 years). Treks of various lengths are available, i.e. 1hour, 11/2 hours, 2hours, 3hours; as well as an all day ride which includes a picnic break.

Many of the treks follow paths once trodden by teams of pack ponies, each carrying 16 stone of lead over the moors along such tracks as "The Black Way " and "The Long Drag" to industrial Tyneside and the north-eastern ports.

All treks are escorted by an experienced rider & treks for less able and disabled riders are available .
